RAMADA AÇOS INVESTS IN CALIBRATED ENGINEERING STEELS

The use of turned steels makes it possible to reduce costs, increase productivity and reduce the delivery time of the final part.

What is the difference between turning rolled steel and calibrated steel? How long does it take to produce each one? In addition to grades CK45, S235JRC, 11SMn37 and 11SMnPB37, Ramada Aços now offers 16MnCr5, 42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6 and 30CrNiMo8, in diameters between 50 and 100 mm in the calibrated state.

The use of these grades makes it possible to reduce turning times and the number of subsequent operations on the customer's premises. This results in an increase in productivity and a reduction in the delivery time of the final part.

Today, as well as being the only production unit in Portugal with the capacity to carry out the calibration service, it is possible to adapt to the needs of each customer, with dimensional tolerances between h9 and h11.
