AISI 303 (1.4305)

detalhe

Description

Most used stainless steel of all easy cutting steels. It offers good mechanical and corrosion resistance and high machinability. Resistance to hot oxidation runs at 850 °C. It is not suitable for welding due to the high presence of sulphur in its composition, it can precipitate in the grain boundaries, weakening and making the welded joints fragile. It is not possible to harden this material by quenching treatment.
