Description

High hardness pre-treated steel 360 - 400 HB. It has been replaced by modified and improved versions like the 2738 Super and the quality Uddeholm Nimax. They keep their interest due to the inflexibility in the specification of some end customers. Moderate toughness, weldability and machinability properties. It is not recommended for molding areas with demanding textures due to the risk of segregation. Good material for molds for lightly loaded plastics and medium production series.

Main applications

  • Pre-treated steel molds for injection and compression and blown plastics with higher wear and fatigue resistance requirements
