Precipitation Hardening
Some types of steels, copper alloys or aluminum alloys are susceptible of hardening by precipitates formation with in metal´s grain finely dispersed in all material structure.
This type of hardening is a process that produces less deformation than that produced by traditional hardening, due to lower temperatures used and less thermal shocks. In materials hardened precipitation it is also possible, upon ageing, to improve ductility and toughness properties.
